What is the Nsale?

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is different from its other sales. Usually, items that have been out for a while are marked down to clear some inventory, however, this sale is different. These items aren’t available for purchase until the sale begins and after the sale is over, the prices go up for the rest of the season. It’s the perfect time to grab some fall staple pieces or even similar items that you’ve had your eye on such as the Spanx faux leather leggings, which are my favorite!

When can I shop?

Below are the dates of the sale this year. The last day to shop is August 8.

Personally, I wish Nordstrom didn’t set up their Anniversary sale like this. The tier system comes off as being a little “unfair” to others that don’t have a Nordstrom credit card or who don’t spend $500-$15,000 a year there. On the other hand, if I spent that much in a year at this retailer, I suppose I would really appreciate the early access. It can just be a bit frustrating when items sell out before the sale opens to everyone and they don’t restock. I don’t have a Nordstrom card and I don’t spend very much per year there so I won’t be shopping the sale until July 28.

This year’s favorites

Before I dive into my picks for this year, please don’t feel the need to buy anything or “keep up” with everyone else who is shopping the sale. It’s so easy, especially with social media nowadays to feel pressured to buy. Personally, sales like these overwhelm me sometimes which is why I didn’t cover it last year. Although I still bought a couple of items then and plan to do so again this year, I’m really limiting myself to 3 things or less.

Keep in mind, I may have around 200 items shown below as my favorites for this year, but that in no way means I’m pushing for anyone to buy even a single thing. Decide on your own what pieces you could get good use out of and do whatever makes you happy! 🙂
