Tula Review – Part 2

A few months ago, I reviewed seven Tula products here. Now, I’m reviewing another seven, but doing it a little differently. A simple “yes” or “no” at the beginning of each product will tell you if I think it’s worth it or not. I’ll explain further on why I like or don’t like each product after that, but hopefully, it helps you decide on which ones you’d like to try out for yourself! 🙂

I’ve added a link to each product from Ulta since that’s where I usually buy my Tula products for the bonus points, but the actual Tula website is having a 25% off sale that ends tonight for Black Friday! You can access their website here.

Protect + Glow Daily Sunscreen Gel SPF 30: $36 at Ulta

Yes. It goes well under makeup and has a nice finishing glow so I also wear it on the days I don’t wear makeup. It’s reef safe and it doesn’t leave a white cast! A lot of other reef-safe sunscreens tend to be hard to rub in and leave a lot of white casting due to their ingredients, but Tula’s sunscreen is different. Also, the smell is kind of like your typical sunscreen smell, but a little more fruity!

Face Filter Blurring & Moisturizing Primer: $34 at Ulta

Yes. At first, I didn’t get what all the hype was about this one, but it really is THAT good! When you first rub it in, it almost looks like a tinted moisturizer because it has a taupe color to it. After it’s rubbed in, it blends in perfectly with my skin tone. I can’t really put my finger on what it smells like, but it’s not very fruity like some of the other Tula products. After it dries on my skin, the smell disappears.

Glow Hour Brightening & Neutralizing Eye Balm: $32 at Ulta

No. A lot of people are all for the cooling under-eye balms, but I can’t deal with the cooling sensation that doesn’t go away. At least it does what it says! My only complaint about this one is that it’s smaller in size than their other 2 balms and more expensive. The smell is similar to that of concealer. I didn’t notice a huge difference in the appearance of my under eyes, but the pigment on this one is a lot better than the other 2!

Rose Glow & Get It Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm: $30 at Ulta

No. Similar to the Glow Hour Balm, the cooling sensation is a bit much for me. This one is a little harder to notice on my skin and the smell is also the same as that of concealer!

Glow & Get It Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm: $28 at Ulta

No. I’m not sure if it’s because of my skin tone, but it’s hard to notice this one on as well. All 3 balms are very similar in smell and consistency. I wish I was a fan of these, but the cooling effect just isn’t for me. :/

So Poreless Deep Exfoliating Blackhead Scrub: $32 at Ulta

Yes, x1000. Like a lot of other people, I have most of my blackheads on my nose. I’ve used TONS of other blackhead exfoliators, strips, and masks, but this one is now at the top of my list. I use it 2-3 times a week in the shower after the steam has opened up my pores or after using my facial steamer and cleansing first. I don’t know how I ever went about my skincare routine without this exfoliator! It kind of smells like blueberries and açaí. The consistency starts out gel-like before it’s mixed with water and rubbed in.

So Pumpkin Exfoliating Sugar Scrub: $34 at Ulta

Maybe. It depends if you’re a fan of pumpkin scents or not. The smell was way too much for me, but other than that, the sugar crystals feel really nice especially as they dissolve on my skin. It does a good job exfoliating, but I can’t get over the strong pumpkin smell.
