TURKS & CAICOS

Blue Haven Resort All-Inclusive Turks & Caicos

If you’ve already read my post about staying at the Alexandra Resort, then you know there was also an option to take a shuttle to the sister resort, Blue Haven, during the day and stay as long as we wanted. We did so a few times and I have to admit, the food at this resort was amazingggg!!

Both resorts have their shining moments. Such as the entrance when arriving at Blue Haven. It’s much more breathtaking than the one at Alexandra, but the beach size and views aren’t as great. I would also say the food is really good at both, but maybe slightly better at Blue Haven.

I’m not sure what the rooms looked like since we didn’t stay the night here, but the overall property sits on a fraction of the space than Alexandra.

Depending on what you’re looking for, one might suit you better than the other. We did see a wedding take place on one of the days we were there, and I think Blue Haven was a perfect location for that. Especially with the gazebo that overlooks the water!

The Food

Fire & Ice: The breakfast at Fire & Ice was my absolute favorite. Even though a lot of the options were similar to Alexandra Resort, I felt like there was more variety.

Although breakfast was always a breeze, it took a couple of attempts to get a reservation for dinner. I think it’s one of the most popular places to eat between both resorts, and for good reason. Every part of our meal was outstanding. At first, I wanted to order the Fire and Ice Tabletop Charcoal BBQ, but we didn’t see anyone else with it and didn’t want to be the ones smoking up the place, so we got soup and steak instead. A few minutes later we saw the tabletop bbq’s come out to several tables and regretted not ordering one. 😂

Jammin Beach Grill: I didn’t get any pictures here, but I would eat everything on the menu if I could. My favorite was the Philly Cheese Flatbread with a side of fries. Be careful though, the seagulls are always keeping an eye out for someone to leave their plate of food alone so they can dive in for it!

Salt Grill: This one was a little bit hard to find, especially at night. The first time we came here, we were excited that there was a fully enclosed indoor eating area where the mosquitos would be less likely to bite. We were horribly wrong though. On one of the nights I got bit 6 times on my legs, and on a different night, I learned my lesson and wore pants which helped me only get bit about 2-3 times.

Like with everything else though, the food was amazing. On the outside deck, there was a woodfire pizza oven along with additional seating. There were also a few different firepit seating options that could fit larger parties.

Market Café: Thanks to booking with Costco Travel, we had a $100 room credit that we could use on anything charged to the room, except for covid tests and excursions. We had to find a way to spend it, so we came here. Not only were there LOTS of souvenirs to choose from, but they also had endless options of bottled alcohol, skincare (mostly from SunBum), women’s swim cover-ups, pre-packaged snacks, and hot/cold food options too. We went with a tote bag for me and a couple of T-shirts for David.

Fitness Room

Every time we went into the fitness room it was always empty. If I were actually prepared to work out when we went, I would have made use of all the machines I knew how to use! However, we’d only go in so we could sit in the A/C while we waited for the shuttle. 🤣

The Pool

The infinity pool was the perfect addition to the already beautiful views Blue Haven had to offer. We didn’t swim in it too much, but we did make use of the swim-up bar. I’m not sure if the food was also an option since the grill where they prepare the food for Jammin Beach Grill was right next to the bar area, but I saw a girl eating a salad once. It’s probably preferred that you get out and sit at a table if you want an actual meal though.

The Beach

The waters were just as calm and blue as at Alexandra Resort, but the sand wasn’t as soft. There were definitely more sea shells and rough pieces to walk through, along with fish that would swim up closer to shore. I didn’t mind the fish though! They were cute and so interesting to look at. 🤩

One thing that made up for the rough sand is all the seating that was available. We never had trouble finding a spot to lay out right next to the beach no matter the time of day. The bar was also just a few steps away which was even better!
