This year, David and I decided to go on a mini staycation to Loews Kansas City Hotel for my birthday. We stayed for one night and enjoyed every part of it! Unfortunately, we didn’t get to experience some parts of it such as the restaurant & bar area, but that gives us a reason to go back.
THE ROOM
We stayed on the 14th floor in the Deluxe Room with a king bed and decided to also get the Park, Play, Extend Your Stay package which included parking for 1 vehicle, $25 Food & Beverage Credit, Room Upgrade, and a 4 PM late check-out.
THE FOOD
We didn’t think to make reservations at The Stilwell Restaurant so there were no spots available for our night there. I had seen a lot of good things about it on Instagram, so we’ll have to go back sometime to try it out!
We also didn’t get to experience the Horsefeather Social since it wasn’t open for the season yet. This is probably the most tagged part of Loews Hotel I see on Instagram when browsing around.
For breakfast the next morning, we went to Red Wheat Baking Co. They serve breakfast & lunch sandwiches ranging from $5-$9 as well as beverages, prepackaged snacks, and freshly baked goods.
THE AMENITIES
The “extras” included WiFi, concierge, access to the spa, pool, and workout room, and a chatting service where we could text with someone at the front desk if there was anything we needed.
THE PARKING
Our package included the parking already, but I think it’s around $20 if you pay for it separately. There was also a valet service, but we used self-parking. We were able to leave and return as many times as we liked and the only thing needed was the hotel room key card to get in and out.
SUMMARY
We loved our stay and the views Loews Hotel had to offer! Everything from when we arrived to when we left went smoothly thanks to all of their efforts and accommodating staff. And, if you’re someone who loves interior design, there is a lot to appreciate at Loews Hotel!
